Ben Shephard couldn't help but make a cheeky dig at co-host Cat Deeley as he spoke out on their first week as the new host of This Morning. Ben and Cat officially made their first appearance as the show's new duo on Monday (March 11) with viewers so far divided over the new duo.
Their debut on the show came weeks after the former Good Morning Britain presenter and So You Think You Can Dance star's new jobs were revealed as the permanent replacements for Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield.
While Ben, 49, and Cat, 47, had never hosted the show together before, they had had appearances in the months following Phillip's exit in May as Ben hosted with Holly while Cat teamed up with Rylan Clark and Craig Doyle following Holly's exit in October.

As they opened their first show, Cat and Ben appeared to have been caught off guard as they had a pre-show chat before they addressed the ITV show's viewers. "Oh hello, it's Monday, March 11, welcome to a brand new week on This Morning," Ben cheerily said.
Cat commented: "We are so excited to be here aren't we?" As Ben said: "Giddy," Cat replied: "We are. This show's been a huge part of our lives for so long so to actually be standing here, with you, is good." Ben then agreed, saying: “It is very special, we are thrilled to be here," and thanked those who have sent them messages of support since it was announced they'd be taken over.
To mark the new chapter, Ben has since shared a selection of photos to social media of him chatting and laughing with Cat while presenting the show. Sir Rod Stewart and Jools
