A beloved bakery in Greater Manchester has announced that one of its sites has closed ahead of Christmas - but already has exciting plans in store for next year.
TROVE bakery is the brainchild of husband-and-wife duo Marcus and Katy Saide and has become one of Greater Manchester’s most celebrated bakeries since it began life in 2011 as a stall at Levenshulme Market.
The bakery now has cafes in Levenshulme, Ancoats and its most recent city centre venue at Bloc on Marble Street, which opened two years ago. Last week, TROVE closed the doors on its Stockport bakery site at Crossley Park in Heaton Chapel with owners describing it as the ‘end of an era’.

The bakery said the site had been closed due to a number of factors affected by the cost of living crisis, including rising energy bills, and as a result of its closure, it would see some items unavailable at their store for a small period of time.
Posting on social media, TROVE wrote: “Last week we marked the end of an era as we closed the doors on our beloved bakery site at Crossley Park in Heaton Chapel. Unfortunately the increasing rise in our energy costs and other charges forced us to leave the site. Due to this you may see some items we usually have are temporarily missing or unavailable in our cafes and Christmas pre orders are now limited.”
However, TROVE has insisted all its cafes will remain open and the bakery is even planning to venture further afield with a new venue. In October, TROVE announced that it would be opening a fourth bakery in Wilmslow. The cafe will
