Janette Manrara, the host of Strictly Come Dancing: It Takes Two, was abruptly cut off on Loose Women while defending her parenting choices this week. She and her husband Aljaž Škorjanec were guests on the show where they discussed their new baby girl, Lyra - who they welcomed in July. The couple, who have been together since 2010 and married in 2017, shared their journey to parenthood with panellists Kay Adams, Olivia Attwood, Linda Robson, and Nadia Sawalha.
They revealed their fears about conceiving due to Janette being in her late 30s when they started trying for a baby.
They embarked on an IVF journey, but Janette's period didn't come when she was taking IVF hormones. However, they managed to conceive naturally and were overjoyed when their baby arrived this year. Janette faced criticism from some for returning to the Strictly companion show It Takes Two just weeks after her baby's birth.
She wanted to respond to her critics while on Loose Women, as first reported by The Mirror. Janette was cut off by Kay as she tried to discuss the backlash she's faced for returning to work. Janette said: "There has been a lot of backlash towards me going back to work." But then Kay interrupted and said: "Listen, we are out of time.
But apart from that I think it's a beautiful place to end. You enjoy your daughter the way you want." Janette accepted her words and gasped: "Exactly! Thank you!" Just before this, Aljaž had shared that it took him 10 years to convince Janette to start a family with him. He said they were both delighted to be sharing their parenting journey together.
