A Strictly Come Dancing legend has revealed how he beat the dreaded show 'curse' - and why women just can't resist his pal Nigel Harman. Nigel's Casualty and EastEnders ' pal Charles Venn has opened up about his time on the show in 2016 and the secret to why Nigel is the show's 'Mr Smooth'. Charles, 50, said: "Ahh Nigel.
What can I tell you. Everybody loves him. Nigel Harman is an absolute actual smoothie.
He is good on the dance floor too. Very confident. He has brought a good quality to the show." Charles let fans into a secret about his pal from behind-the-scenes on Casualty, adding to the Mirror: "And hear's something you might not know about him.
He's got a nice voice. He used to sing a couple of songs off-set. "He'd sing Indie but at the same time he'd also be singing The Doors.
If the moment took him even some Oasis. We've got a couple of speakers, so whenever someone is playing a song, he'd sing right after it.
That's what we love about Nigel." Charles, who was also a hit on the show in 2018, also talked about how he avoided the 'infamous curse' dancing with professional partner Karen Hauer. He shared: "The Strictly curse, I know it didn't hit me.
Why? Because I focused. From the moment I got there it was just work, work, work. I can't speak for anybody else.
"But I was focused. I was just focused on the dancing. Solely.
And my wife doesn't play. She wouldn't tolerate that for a moment. I love that." Despite Charles cheering for Nigel to win, some viewers reckon the dancer and his partner Katya Jones might not stay in the BBC show for long.
