Despite once being eager to walk down the aisle for the third time, Shirley Ballas has put her wedding plans with fiancé Danny Taylor on hold for the time being.
The Strictly Come Dancing judge, 63, secretly got engaged to boyfriend Danny, 50, in 2021.
The couple met in 2018 when they were both starring in a Christmas production of Jack and The Beanstalk and began dating in 2019. Shirley has made no secret of how smitten she is with her actor beau, branding him 'The One' and previously saying her relationship with him has "changed my life".
However, it seems she's not in any rush to exchange vows with Danny, despite previously declaring her intention to marry him. The professional dancer said: "Two marriages, an engagement, two long-term relationships later and I will not be getting married again.
I’ve made the decision," The Sun reports. Shirley is focusing on other things rather than getting hitched again, such as spending time with her mother and her first grandchild, who was born in 2023.
Speaking to MailOnline last year, the Strictly star said: "I've changed my mind. I just feel that at this particular point in my life, my mother and I have got this great relationship and we want to do some travelling and there is different things we want to do.
"[The relationship is] going good – I’m busy, he’s busy and we talk to each other every day – several times a day, and my mum talks to him as well," she added, referring to their long-distance romance." Shirley's comments are a huge contrast to her previous thoughts on marriage, having publicly encouraged Danny to propose and saying she would "marry him tomorrow" shortly after confirming their romance in 2019. At the time, she said: “I would marry him tomorrow, if he asked me.
