BBC Strictly Come Dancing couple 'slipping behind' ahead of live show

Strictly Come Dancing will continue this weekend as the competition ramps up. We have already hit the halfway mark as we wait to see who will be crowned the 2023 series winner.
Fans of the BBC show were left reeling following last week's dance-off which saw Adam Thomas and partner Luba Mushtuk leaving the competition after losing to Angela Rippon and Kai Widdrington.
But Anglea, who is the oldest contestant to appear on the show's history, is said to be showing signs of 'slipping behind' the rest of her co-stars despite being saved by the judging panel for her elegant waltz to Fascination by Nat King Cole.
The 79-year-old will be looking to dust herself off ahead of Saturday's performance as we prepare to see another side of the broadcaster with a Paso Doble to Hung Up by Madonna.
But speaking on behalf of Betfair Roulette, body language expert Darren Stanton has suggested that Angela will be in trouble again this weekend, according to reports in Manchester Evening News.
He said: "Angela and Kai found themselves in the dance off this week. I think she will be in trouble again next week. They seem to be slipping behind now."
He added: "She will either be in the dance off again or leave the competition. She has been receiving fewer positive comments, so it might be her time now. She is reaching the pinnacle of her abilities. Angela and Kai have a deep rapport and strong bond, but their technique isn't at the same level as the other couples."
