A Strictly Come Dancing star who missed days of training following a hospital dash this week looks set to perform in tonight's show (Saturday October 7).
Jody Cundy, who is partnered with dance pro Jowita Przystal, had to take a trip to hospital in the small hours of Wednesday morning after his leg stump became infected. The Paralympic cyclist, who was three years old when his right foot was amputated, wears a prosthetic leg to compete on Strictly with.
On BBC Two spin-off It Takes Two, he voiced his hopes of being able to get back to rehearsals and take part in Saturday night's show. And on Saturday morning, he was spotted heading to Elstree Studios ahead of Strictly's Movie Week, reports BirminghamLive.

A spokesperson for Strictly has now told The Sun that they are "hopeful that Jody will be able to perform tonight" but "there are contingencies in place should he not be able to".
Speaking to It Takes Two host Janette Manrara about his ordeal, Jody, 44, said: “It's been a week of highs and lows. The first two days have absolutely flown by. The end of day two we had done the full routine a number of times which I had not done for the previous two dances. I was really confident that I could perfect everything for Saturday. I got home on Tuesday night and took my leg off and was like 'oh, that's quite sore'."
He continued: “I didn't really think too much of it and cleaned it, bathed it and made sure it was all ok. I got up at 4am and looked at my leg, it was warm, swollen and I was like 'that's getting infected'.” He added: "It is healing and getting better. The swelling has gone down a little bit more."
