Much-loved Hairy Bikers star Dave Myers sadly passed away last week at the age of 66. He was surrounded by his wife, Liliana Orzac, and best friend, Si King, after battling cancer.
The TV chef was known for his friendly personality and passion for cooking. Him and his wife Liliana owned a production company which was valued at £1.4 million and made a profit of £200,000 in the past year, according to accounts filed on January 31.
Dave also co-owned Hairy Bikers Television with Si, which was worth £92,000. This means that Dave's total fortune was nearly £1.5 million, reports the Mirror.
The late star and Si King first met in 1995 on the set of a Catherine Cookson TV miniseries. Dave was a makeup artist specialising in prosthetics, while Si was a location manager.
The two quickly became friends due to their shared love of motorcycles and food. Since their first appearance on the BBC in 2006, they have worked on 31 different projects and have become well-known for their comforting cooking style.
In 2012, the pair unveiled their first diet-focused cookbook and associated TV programme, The Hairy Dieters: How To Love Food And Lose Weight. This signalled a fresh chapter in their partnership, with an emphasis on nutritious food.
Si and Dave both altered their eating regimes after publicising that they were medicating health issues linked to lifestyle.
