BBC Breakfast's Emma Vardy has announced the birth of her baby boy.
Emma, 42, recently stood in for Nina Warhurst as a business correspondent after she headed off on maternity leave with her third child. The BBC star took to Instagram and shared a snap cradling her new-born son and wrote: "Presenting my best breaking news ever. Baby boy Jago Fionn is here.
"At just a few hours old, playing a little camera shy. Huge thanks to the dedicated & talented midwives & doctors at Belfast’s Royal Victoria Hospital, for looking after us so well. Smitten & so in love."
Fans flooded the broadcaster with support, as one replied: "What brilliant news!" While another wrote: "Fab news, Emma. Belfast boys are the best!"
"Fabulous news, huge congratulations.....now away and sleep!" as a third penned, while a fourth echoed: "Congratulations to you and baby Jago. You're both looking fit and well."
Emma previously announced her pregnancy in an Instagram post back in May, unveiling her bump for the first time while posing with a surfboard. She wrote: "Well it's definitely getting a bit harder to balance….extra cargo hitching a ride!! Still managing to catch a few waves though.
"Beautiful weekend in Co Sligo, and a very exciting summer ahead!!"
Emma announced earlier this month that she'd started her maternity leave, as she wrote on Twitter: "Well that's me off on mat leave!! Resigned to an eternity of housewife chores & dirty laundry. Career girl out. (And if u believe that you'll believe anything)."
