Bake Off fans react over show exit twist as Rebs and Abdul miss Bread Week

Britain’s favourite cookery show has been accused of cultural appropriation by some of the country’s top Mexican chefs.

The fourth episode of the current series of the Great British Bake Off saw the contestants take on Mexican Week for the first time ever.The remaining 10 bakers were tasked with creating a pan dulce, a street food staple and a show-stopping tres leches cake. While Maxy was named Star Baker after blowing judges Paul Hollywood and Prue Leith away with her creations, it was unfortunately time for another contestant to head home.

Strictly Come Dancing fans were quick to react on Twitter after judge Shirley Ballas made a blunder live on-air at the start of Saturday's show. As the show opened, Tess Daly called to Shirley, 62, for comment as she announced that the voting lines would be open on the show this week.

Matt Lucas was quick to explain what was going on after two bakers went missing from the famous tent on the latest episode of The Great British Bake Off. The hit Channel 4 show is now in its third week with Matt and co-host Noel Fielding back to keep the competitor's company and viewers amused.

Great British Bake Off's bread week was left in chaos as two budding baking hopefuls were forced to pull out of filming. Both Rebs and Abdul will not take part in this week's challenge due to "feeling under the weather", meaning they are still guaranteed a place in the show next week, despite neither winning 'Star Baker' so far in this year's series.

Fans of Strictly Come Dancing were floored over Fleur East's amazing 'Dorito' rap about her partner Vito Coppola. The 34 year old former X-Factor contestant introduced her new dancing partner on tonight's launch of Strictly Come Dancing, and she had pre-prepared a rap. After Strictly host Claudia Winkleman asked her about it, Fleur didn't hold back as she launched into her self-penned rap.

Great British Bake Off has officially returned to our screens as judges Prue Leith and Paul Hollywood welcomed a fresh batch of bakers into the tent. With presenters Noel Fielding and Matt Lucas on hand to sprinkle comic relief over the tent, the first week saw the contestants tasked with making 12 mini sandwich cakes for the Signature, a red velvet cake for the Technical and a cake inspired by home for their Showstoppers. Will became the first person to be eliminated from the competition, while Janusz was named Star Baker for the week.
