Bad Bunny was the headliner for the opening night of the 2023 Coachella Music Festival and he put on an incredible set!
The 29-year-old Latin music superstar performed a two-hour set on the main Coachella stage on Friday night (April 14) in Indio, Calif.
Bad Bunny brought out Post Malone as a surprise guest, but unfortunately they were plagued by some technical audio issues during his appearance. Other special guests included Jhayco, Jowell & Randy and Ñengo Flow.
“Latinos have been rompiéndola (killing it) for some time now. I just did a tour last year that I never imagined I’d be able to do. I’ve been out for some time but [I’m back] and it feels cabrón to be here tonight and that you’re all here with me,” he told the crowd (via Billboard).
Bad Bunny makes history as the first Spanish-language artist to headline at Coachella.

Dennis Harvey Film Critic Offering a singular perspective on Russia’s current pariah status in much of the world is Gaukur Ulfarsson’s “Soviet Barbara,” probably the most enjoyable — as opposed to depressing — documentary involving the invasion of Ukraine you’re likely to see. It focuses on Icelandic multimedia artist Ragnar Kjartansson’s preparation for exhibits that would open a major new museum in Moscow. That launch proves fatefully ill-timed in terms of larger events, however, even as his splashiest custom creation provides ironic commentary on recent Russian history by reprising an American TV soap opera that had been an unlikely imported smash in the nation’s immediate post-USSR years. The colorful intersection between art, ideology, patronage and politics should appeal to a wide range of nonfiction outlets and programmers.

McKinley Franklin editor The Coachella livestream on YouTube is the next-best thing to being there, and in some ways it’s even better: There’s no crowds, travel, heat or dust unless you want them, and you’ve got the best seat in the house. This Friday, the 22nd edition of Coachella will kick off with the first of two weekends at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, Calif. With fans anticipating a star-studded list of headliners like Bad Bunny, Blackpink and Frank Ocean, this year’s festival is the first that notably consists of a lineup of over 50% international artists. As in other recent years, Coachella 2023 will be available to stream online via its official YouTube channel on the first weekend — and the good news is that this marks the full time the second weekend will also have just an extensive slate of streaming instead of just select highlights. Livestreams are accessible on desktop, mobile or the YouTube app via Coachella’s official YouTube page. For the first time, six of the stages from the festival — instead of the usual three — will be accessible for streaming, starting April 14 at 4 p.m. PT (and continuing on April 21 at the same time for the festival’s second weekend). Following each day of festivities, Coachella’s YouTube will rerun video performances from the day prior.
