Michael J. Fox and Christopher Lloyd reunited at New York Comic Con Sunday, for an official reunion, where they reminisced over their iconic roles in the beloved film trilogy. The panel kicked off with the actors recalling how Fox was called in to replace Eric Stoltz, who was originally cast as Marty McFly, a little over a month after filming had begun.
Lloyd said he remembered the announcement as it came after a series of night shoots dedicated to the moment Doc Brown finally cracks the code to time travel.«The announcement -- at one o'clock in the morning after we were shooting for six weeks -- was that the actor playing Marty would no longer be playing Marty, and that tomorrow, we would start shooting with Michael,» Lloyd, 83 recalled. «I felt that I barely made it through the [first] six weeks and now I was gonna have to do it again?!»Fox, 61, who was filming at the time, was apprehensive to sign on, noting that his mother was worried that he'd be too exhausted trying to spread himself between the TV show and filming a feature film, but ultimately, Fox decided to hop on board of what would become a career-defining film for both him and Lloyd.«The chemistry was there from the first scene we had, it was alive, and it remained that way for three movies,» Lloyd added of the pair's onscreen presence.
«It hasn't gone away, by the way.»Fox called working on the film and working with Lloyd in particular «a thrill,» adding that anytime he got to work with the actor was a «good day.»«All I had to do was just react,» Fox said, referring to his co-star's performance. «Just take it in and let it wash over me.
I thought he was brilliant. That was the whole thing: be with Chris and let it be Chris, and enjoy it… It was a thrill.

John Hopewell Chief International Correspondent CANNES — Paramount+ has revealed a premiere date – Nov. 3 – as well as trailer and key art for “Bosé,” a biopic of the famed Spanish singer-songwriter Miguel Bosé which is shaping up as one of Spain’s biggest and most anticipated series of 2022. Shared in exclusivity with Variety, the trailer, like the version glimpsed at Iberseries in one of that market’s biggest sneak peeks, captures Bosé’s art – a mix between David Bowie glam and sexual ambiguity and softer Italian melody. It also drive into what looks like the emotional heart and narrative structure of the story, showing Miguel Bosé (played by Iván Sánchez and José Pastor), in a present-day timeline during the promotion of his multi-platinum album “Papito,” as he debates becoming a father.
Chris Willman Senior Music Writer and Chief Music Critic It wasn’t quite a proper Spinal Tap reunion, but there was some implicit history happening Tuesday night at Largo in Los Angeles as Michael McKean and Christopher Guest joined Loudon Wainwright III, the headliner for the latest in a series of Judd Apatow-hosted “Juddapalooza” benefit concerts at Largo. Besides going back together about five and a half decades as friends on the musical-comedy scene, Wainwright, as hardcore fans will know, was seen as a member of Spinal Tap in a cameo in the very first filmed comedy sketch featuring the faux group in the late ’70s. Tuesday’s Largo show featured a healthy intermingling of Wainwright performing songs from his new album, “Lifetime Achievement,” and Guest and McKean bringing back some of the very earliest Spinal Tap “hits,” along with some folk-scene collaborations. Also on tap as unadvertised guests: Beck, who sang a few of his own songs and Neil Young’s “Old Man” along with assisting others in the hootenanny, and top producer Greg Kurstin, who proved game for completely unrehearsed piano contributions and even solos over the course of the two hours-plus.
