The Edition West Hollywood’s Ardor restaurant played host for an evening celebrating the work of transformative artists Allan Avendaño, Alex Babsky, Kelsey Deenihan Fisher, Kathy Jeung and Cedric Jolivet — each given an emotional tribute by Sabrina Carpenter, Tessa Thompson, Lucy Hale, Natasha Bedingfield and Kathryn Newton, respectively. Riley Keough revealed that filming a sex scene with her real-life husband Ben Smith-Petersen for her new series "Daisy Jones & the Six" was unexpectedly "awkward." During a Thursday appearance on "Late Night With Seth Meyers," the 33-year-old actress explained that in one scene, her character Daisy "hooks up with a random person" and the show's producers told her that casting the Australian stuntman in the cameo role would be "so funny."  Meyers then asked Keough if simulating intercourse with her spouse on set was "more or less awkward." "It was more awkward," the Golden Globe nominee admitted.  She continued, "I think that they were thinking it would be less awkward. And then we got there, and they're like, 'This is really uncomfortable." "For one, I've never had pretend sex with my husband," Keough added with a laugh.

Jordan Moreau The “Pokémon Detective Pikachu” sequel has finally caught a director. Jonathan Krisel, co-creator of “Portlandia,” is in negotiations with Legendary Entertainment to direct the sequel to the live-action “Pokémon” movie from 2019. Chris Galletta will write the script. Krisel co-created, wrote and executive produced IFC’s sketch comedy show “Portlandia,” which starred fellow co-creators Fred Armisen and Carrie Brownstein in a multitude of oddball situations around Portland, Oregon. He also co-created, wrote and directed FX’s “Baskets,” starring Zach Galifianakis as a rodeo clown. Previously, Galletta wrote the 2013 coming-of-age comedy “The Kings of Summer.”

The biggest issue “Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania” visual effects supervisors Jesse James Chisholm and Dave Hodgins had in building the robotic villain M.O.D.O.K. was getting the proportions right. M.O.D.O.K., which stands for Mental Organism Designed Only for Killing, is played by Corey Stoll, the villain from the original “Ant-Man.” As audiences saw at the end of the first movie, his character Darren Cross is microscopically shrunk by Paul Rudd’s Scott Lang, causing massive amounts of damage to his body. He pops up in the third “Ant-Man” movie with a horrifically contorted physique, a giant head and a tiny body. To move, M.O.D.O.K. sits inside a hover chair that doubles as a mechanical suit. “He’s just a massive floating head,” Chisholm says.

When he was found by Kang the Conqueror (Jonathan Majors), he was turned into M.O.D.O.K.
