Anne and Linda Nolan have opened up about their joint breast cancer diagnosis and how “lucky” they were to be able to have treatment together in the pandemic. The Nolan Sisters appeared on Good Morning Britain to celebrate their book, Stronger Together, coming out in paperback. Speaking to Kate Garraway and Richard Bacon, the duo opened up about how their health struggles were easier as they faced them together.

We knew how lucky we were, people were frightened to go to the hospital because of covid.” The Nolan sisters were able to have their treatment on the same day, meaning they each had a familiar face by their side as they went through chemotherapy. “Anne’s treatment day was a full day really,” Linda continued. “And then I would come in the afternoon to have mine and say ‘Denise sent you in a scone with jam’ or she sent magazines.” Anne, 71, admitted that while she loved being with her sister, she struggled with “really bad anxiety” throughout that time due to the risk covid would have on her health during treatment.
