Amy Dowden says 'I can't wait to be back' as she makes surprise BBC Strictly Come Dancing appearance

Strictly professional dancer Amy Dowden made a special appearance on Saturday night's show (October 7) after being forced to take time off due to cancer treatment.
Amy, who has appeared on Strictly since 2017, announced in June she had been diagnosed with cancer and underwent a mastectomy and reconstruction. The surgery came after she discovered a lump in her right breast before going on her honeymoon with her husband Ben Jones.
The Caerphilly-born dancer then later confirmed after her surgery that doctors found another type of cancer which she described as a “massive blow” as it meant she would not be able to compete in Strictly this year as she'd have to undergo chemotherapy.

But on tonight's Strictly, she revealed she was 'doing well' and is now halfway through her chemotherapy. Following the first performance of Movie Week, a Batman-inspired jive from actor Nigel Harman and his dance partner Katya Jones, host Claudia Winkleman announced there was a 'very special member of our Strictly family' visiting to read out the voting terms and conditions.
A gold, sparkly frame with long strips of golden fabric appeared behind Claudia and the Strictly stars. An emotional Claudia continued: "We've missed her so much and we are delighted she is well enough to be back with us tonight. Please welcome the one and only, Amy Dowden!"
Thunderous applause and cheers roared from the Strictly family as a grinning Amy emerged from behind the golden frame. Dressed in a long, white dress, the Strictly pro looked stunning as she sported a shaved head.
She read out the terms and conditions as Claudia beamed, watching on with pride and the rest
