AMC Networks Ups Georgia Juvelis To Chief Communications Officer

Georgia Juvelis, longtime communications executive at AMC Networks, has been promoted to Chief Communications Officer from her previous role as EVP Corporate Communications, the company announced Thursday.
In her new role, Juvelis will continue to oversee corporate communications, including internal communications, corporate marketing and government affairs, while adding oversight of publicity, talent relations and awards, creating a consolidated communications function. Juvelis serves on the company’s senior leadership team and will continue to report to AMC Networks CEO Kristin Dolan.
“Georgia has proved to be a talented communicator and strategist throughout her tenure and a trusted advisor to me during a period of dynamic change and reinvention happening here at AMC Networks and across our industry,” said Kristin Dolan, CEO of AMC Networks. “I’m pleased to see her step into this new role, bringing her leadership strengths and deep knowledge of our business to oversee a communications team that is helping frame our collective efforts and drive our business.”
Juvelis has spent her more than two-decade career in media and entertainment. Over her 15-year tenure at AMC Networks, Juvelis has held several communications leadership positions, with oversight of corporate media relations, communications related to financial reporting and business transactions, corporate marketing and government affairs. In addition to external corporate communications, Juvelis also leads the company’s internal communications function, playing an integral role driving employee engagement. Earlier in her career, Juvelis held communications roles at various media and entertainment companies including Gemstar-TV Guide and Discovery
