Amanda Holden has opened up on how "lucky" she feels to have such a close bond with Australian superstar singer Kylie Minogue. The Britain's Got Talent judge even went as far as to say she's "BFFs" with the pop princess. Amanda, 51, who has been working with her daughter Lexi on modelling deals, was first introduced to the former Neighbours star, who got her big break on the soap back in the 1980s, by celebrity makeup artist Christian Vermaak.
The duo have become friends and come in and out of each other's lives ever since. Mum-of-two Amanda, who shares daughters Alexa, 15, and Hollie, nine, with her husband Chris Hughes, has now revealed that 53 year old Kylie shared her support for the actress during her stint on the Australian soap. “Kylie rang me while I was on set to say, ‘Hi, what’s it like? How’s it going?,'" the TV personality told The Mirror. "She knew I was filming, that's why she called. I love her so much," she gushed.
The star then added: "We call each other BFFs.” Kylie, who has been a fixture in the music business ever since her 80s pop hits The Loco-Motion and Especially for You, has retained her popularity with whole new generations of fans and continues to shine. But she burst onto the scene with her scene-stealing turn as mechanic Charlene Robinson on Neighbours. The loveable character ended up having one of the most iconic romances in TV history with Jason Donovan's Scott Robinson.
The relationship then spilled over into real life and the couple dated for three years in life. Amanda is also friends with Kylie's ex Jason in real life. Become an OK! VIP and see all our exclusives - for free!
