Former Love Island star Dr Alex George has shared a moving tribute to his brother Llŷr on what would have been his 22nd birthday. Dr Alex marked the occasion by posting a heartbreaking message about his younger sibling, who tragically died by suicide in July 2020. Posting a photo of Llŷr, the TV star penned the caption: "Today you would be 22.
I realised the other day, that as I grow grey and old. You will never age. Frozen in time, for eternity.
"My heart aches every single day, and I miss you. You are with me in everything I do, My boy. Happy Birthday Llŷr x." Sharing the message to his Instagram Story, Alex continued: "I'm sorry that I couldn't save you.
I hope that in your name I can save many others. "The books, school tours, campaigns, content... I immerse myself in that which causes me pain, in the hope I can other families living a life of what ifs." Posting a photo with his book A Better Day, he added: "Writing books like this and the upcoming Mind Manual triggers so much deep inside, the what ifs? I have put myself through hell at times, writing these.
"Because I know I can save lives. Please, this book should be in every household and every school." He later returned to Instagram to thank his followers for the kind messages, writing: "Thank you for your kind words and messages. Went on a motorbike ride to clear the head.
