‘Ahsoka’ TV Spot: Lucasfilm Unveils New Footage And An August Release Date For Its Latest ‘Star Wars’ Series

Coronation Street star Samia Longchambon has shared why she took some time away from the cobbles to challenge herself in a new show. The actress, who plays Maria Windass in the ITV soap, revealed back in April that she is one of the celebrities taking part in the next series of Cooking With The Stars.

The joint timing is coincidental, of course (“Shucked” was originally tagged for a 2020 opening, with an out-of-town run in D.C. that was just about to begin when the pandemic kicked in). That she gets to talk about two home runs at once makes her career seem far from anything that ends in “-ucked,” unless lucked applies.

The eight-episode series stars Iñaki Godoy as Monkey D. Luffy, Mackenyu as Roronoa Zoro, Emily Rudd as Nami, Jacob Romero Gibson as Usopp and Taz Skylar as Sanji. The first look was revealed at Netflix’s Tudum 2023 event in Brazil. It will release on Netflix on Aug. 31. The show tells the story of Luffy, a young man on his way to become pirate king alongside a crew of friends who help him on his hunt for treasure.
