Adam Sandler has shared a heartbreaking tribute to his former Grown Ups co-star Alec Musser, after he passed away aged 50. Alec was found dead at his home in Del Mar, California on Friday, January 12. No cause of death has yet been revealed.
A day later, Adam took to Instagram to share a snap of Alec acting as the Water Park Stud in their 2010 comedy film. In the caption, Adam wrote: "I loved this guy. Cannot believe he is gone.
Such a wonderful, funny good man.
Thinking of Alec Musser and his family and sending all my love. A true great sweetheart of a person." Alec's fiancée Paige Press commented on the post: "Thank you @adamsandler Alec was my fiancé. He spoke so highly of you and I know working on grownups was one of the best times of his life.
My heart is so broken." Paige announced Alec's death on Friday, and she's since taken to her Instagram stories to share a number of throwback snaps with him as she mourns his death. Over one, where they posed together on a red carpet, she wrote: "Today is the worst day of my life. We were so happy." She shared plenty of snaps of them with their dogs, flying on a plane and experiencing life together.
Paige also posted a snap of her left hand with a dazzling engagement ring on it, writing: "I am never taking off my ring," tagging Alec and saying: "I love you." Another Instagram story post was of a mood board for 2023, which featured snaps of Alec, as she wrote: "RIP to the love of my life. I will never stop loving you." Alec was best-known for his role as Del Henry on All My Children, which he played from 2005 to 2007. He also had a guest role on Desperate Housewives, playing Fredrich in the final season.
