Deadline, Adam Driver is reportedly is rumoured to be joining the cast of ‘Heat 2’, which will be helmed by the original film’s director Michael Mann. The trade reports that Driver would play a young Neil McCauley in the film, which Warner Bros.
is in talks to jump on board to develop.McCauley was played by Robert De Niro in the 1995 original film, and the follow-up novel, written by Mann with Meg Gardiner, jumps between time periods – before and after the original movie’s story.The official descriptions is as follows:This new story leads up to the events of the film and then moves beyond it, featuring new characters on both sides of the law, new high-line heists, and breathtakingly cinematic action sequences.
