Ethan Shanfeld While toasting Adam Sandler at the Kennedy Center Honors Sunday night, Chris Rock called out the Oscars for snubbing his performance in “Uncut Gems.” Honoring his longtime pal and “Grown Ups” co-star with the Mark Twain Prize for American Humor, Rock said “nobody comes even close” to Sandler’s turn as the gambling-addicted jeweler Howard Ratner in the Safdie brothers’ 2019 film. “The Oscars, you know, they’re fucking assholes, and if they don’t want to give my man his props, then we will tonight,” Rock said (via People). The comedian also joked about his own Oscars experience, referencing the 2022 ceremony when Will Smith walked onstage and slapped Rock. He compared the incident to the attack against Nancy Pelosi’s husband Paul, who was hospitalized after a man broke into his San Francisco home and beat him with a hammer.

The actress joined her Murder Mystery 2 costar Adam Sandler in Paris for the photocall, and she looked stunning!The 47-year-old wore a gorgeous thin strapped gown that showed off her silhouette. The delicate gown was adorned with tiny jewels.It was an eventful day for the Friends star.

The film, of course, dominated the 95th Oscars with seven wins — including best picture. Other big winners include Wednesday as Favorite Family TV Show, and its star Jenna Ortega as Favorite Female TV Star (Family), along with kid-fave SpongeBob Squarepants as Favorite Animated Show and Stranger Things alum Millie Brown Brown, who scored the Favorite Movie Actress award for Enola Holmes, and Enola Holmes 2. Everything Everywhere All at Once dominated the night, taking home several awards including the ensemble award, Best Actress for Michelle Yeoh, Best Supporting Actor for Ke Huy Quan, and Best Supporting Actress for Jamie Lee Curtis.Brendan Fraser was also recognized for his performance in The Whale as the year’s best lead actor.Yeoh’s triumph made history as she became the first Asian woman to win a leading film acting award. In her emotional acceptance speech, she said, “This is not just for me, this is for every little girl who looks like me.”Quan, who made similar history with his trophy, was also overcome with emotion and stated, “This moment no longer belongs to just me, it also belongs to everyone who has asked for change.”The Banshees of Inishirin, which entered the night with five nominations, went home empty-handed.On the TV side, The White Lotus’s second season took home two prizes, including Outstanding Drama Ensemble and Best Supporting Actress for Jennifer Coolidge.Abbott Elementary was recognized as the Outstanding Comedy Ensemble, and stars from Ozark (Jason Bateman), The Bear (Jeremy Allen White), and Hacks (Jean Smart) all took home Actors for their performances.The awards were broadcast live from the Fairmont Century Plaza in Los Angeles on Netflix’s YouTube channel for the first time.

Brendan Fraser took home the Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Leading Role. The 54-year-old star beat out Adam Sandler, Austin Butler, Bill Nighy and Colin Farrell to take home the trophy for his powerful performance in and was already in tears as he took the stage to accept the award.«I'm smiling and breathing, that's half the job!» he joked with the crowd as he took a deep breath.«I will treasure this, but never more than how I treasured… my SAG card that I earned in 1991,» Fraser shared. «It made me feel like I belonged.
