ABC Sets ‘The Wonder Years’ Season 2 Return After Fred Savage Firing

ABC announced the anticipated release date for the Season 2 premiere of “The Wonder Years,” landing more than a year since executive producer and director Fred Savage — who starred in the original series — was fired from the show after multiple allegations of inappropriate conduct.The comedy series is set to return with a special one-hour premiere event starting 9 p.m. Wednesday, June 14. Patterson, Bob Daily and Jacque Edmonds Cofer serve as executive producers on the series. Patterson also serves as showrunner. The series is produced by 20th Television, a part of Disney Television Studios.
Savage was fired from the reboot series following an investigation into charges of inappropriate behavior, a spokesman for 20th Television confirmed to TheWrap in May 2022. Specifics regarding the misconduct were not revealed at the time.
