Rebecca Rubin Senior Film and Media Reporter Paramount has delayed “Aang: The Last Airbender” to 2026 and moved “Transformers One” back by one week. The animated “Avatar: The Last Airbender” spinoff was previously set for Oct. 10, 2025 and will now open on Jan.
20, 2026. Dave Bautista and Eric Nam are headlining the voice cast for the film, which is in development at Paramount and Nickelodeon Studios. Plot details haven’t been revealed but Bautista will voice a villain character.
Lauren Montgomery, who worked on the original “Avatar: The Last Airbender” television show, is directing the project with William Mata. Series creators Michael DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko are serving as executive producers alongside Eric Coleman. Elsewhere on Paramount’s release calendar, “Transformers One” will debut on Sept.
