A Place in the Sun star Jonnie Irwin has shared emotional snaps for his 'best Father's Day ever' as he spend the day surrounded by his loved ones.
The dad of three, who has terminal cancer, posted pictures with his kids Rex, three, and two-year-old twins Rafa and Cormac with his wife Jessica Holmes, who he married in September 2016.
Sharing a series of photographs, which featured home made cards, cake in the garden and a motorbike ride, Jonnie penned: "Had The best Father’s Day ever. Breakfast of Chocolate Guinness cake baked expertly my brilliant wife then cards from the boys and visit from my brother in law for a brief pillion ride back in time to enjoy some of the highs and lows of the Ashes ending in more cake with more family washed down by a drop of champers. #fathersday."
And many of his friends flocked to the comments.
One wrote: "Thank you for sharing the moments of your special Fathers day with your family Jonnie. If I could have one miracle right now I’d give it to you."
Another added: "Think of you every day Jonnie. You are giving your boys memories of a wonderful, brave daddy."
While one penned: "Happy Father’s Day to you, just beautiful memories for all."
In 2020, the star was filming a project in Italy when he first realised something might be wrong with his health. He was driving when he experienced blurry vision and tests later confirming that he had developed lung cancer, which had spread to his brain.
Jonnie has not yet told his three children about his terminal diagnosis and sometimes he feels that he has to 'remove himself' from his home and his family when he is in the depths of chronic pain - and the hospice is where he can find some solace.

James joined the second season of HBO’s “The White Lotus,” set in Italy and from creator Mike White, as a chiseled, privileged vacationer. THEO JAMES: How did you end up writing for “Ted Lasso”? BRETT GOLDSTEIN: I’d done a pilot for Bill Lawrence. The pilot didn’t get picked up, but we stayed in touch, and he knew I was a writer as well as an actor. When people ask me for advice, I’m always like, there’s no magic phone call. It doesn’t happen. But I did get a magic phone call here, from Bill, out of the blue, saying, “I think you’d be good for this football show.”
