3 Marvel Actors Join Cast of 'Superman: Legacy' (The List Includes 1 Big Star!)

Matthew Vaughn is no stranger to spy films, having previously directed three ‘Kingsman’ movies. But even after a decade of working on those movies, he can’t seem to let the genre go, as his latest film, “Argylle,” is yet another fun romp in the world of superspies.

Well, that was relatively fast. After a few weeks of screen-testing, James Gunn and Peter Safran, the co-CEOs of DC Studios, have found their Supergirl: it’s Milly Alcock, known for her breakout turn in HBO’s “House Of The Dragon.” Alcock played the younger version of Princess Rhaenyra Targaryen in the first half of HBO’s “Game of Thrones” spin-off (later, Emma D’Arcy took over the teenage and adult versions of the character as the series went through a time leap forward.

The Witcher star Freya Allan has told NME what to expect from the Netflix fantasy show’s upcoming fourth season, which introduces new lead Liam Hemsworth as the titular monster hunter previously played by Henry Cavill.Cavill played Geralt for three seasons from 2019, but announced he would be vacating the position in October 2022. It was widely speculated that he had made the move in order to reprise the role of Superman in upcoming DC films.

After “Aquaman & The Lost Kingdom” ended the DCEU with a whimper (albeit a successful whimper relative to the DCEU’s other three 2023 releases), it’s time to look ahead to James Gunn and Peter Safran‘s franchise reboot. And the DCU can’t be a middling, clunky, and visually uninspired as the DCEU right? Is the era of the superhero movie over? After the MCU‘s rough year last year a string of poor showings to end the DCEU‘s run, it’s up for debate. But the worst may be yet to come for the genre next decade, even if James Gunn and Peter Safran‘s DCU franchise reboots goes well.
