Sunday 27 March saw stars gather onto the red carpet of the 94th Academy Awards in Hollywood to celebrate the best in film- and fashion of course. With one of the biggest nights in the Hollywood calendar returning after the pandemic, we saw multiple celebrities take home the crown of 'best dressed' from Zendaya's Valentino two piece, to Lily James's pink Versace lace gown. Whilst we admired each of the attendee's immaculate outfit choices, there were a few prominent trends that swept the event.

The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences has announced that movies will have to meet new Inclusion Standards in order to be eligible for Best Picture at the Academy Awards, starting the ceremony to be held in 2024.  The new requirements are being put into place “to encourage equitable representation on and off-screen in order to better reflect the diversity of the movie-going audience.” Four different standards have been drafted and films will have to meet at least two of the standards in
