However, according to a list published on the Cabinet Office website, it appears that he has forfeited the MBE (via The Mirror). The honour being revoked comes in light of the numerous anti-Semitic statements made by the musician, which stem back nearly four years, and calls for action from the Campaign Against Anti-Semitism (CAA).Back in 2020, the London MC faced backlash after making anti-Semitic comments on Twitter, going on a rant about the music industry, Israel and Jewish people.

‘Gavin And Stacey’ is set to officially make a comeback

Gavin And Stacey is officially set to make a comeback after five years. The BBC sitcom – starring James Corden and Ruth Jones – is set to return for another Christmas special, which is expected to be filmed over the summer, according to Deadline. It is also believed that the majority of the main cast will likely return for the special. The last time they made an appearance was in the 2019 Christmas special which was left on a cliffhanger, with Nessa (Ruth) proposing to Corden’s character Smithy, and the episode ending before he could provide an answer. The news comes after stars of the BBC show have constantly said it was unlikely to make a return in recent years.Joanna Page, who played Stacey in the sitcom, was the latest to play down the chances of a Gavin And Stacey comeback back in November, despite fans hoping that Corden moving back to the UK following his eight-year stint hosting The Late Late Show in the US would increase the chances of a return.Speaking to MailOnline, Page said at the time: “I can see them never doing any more because it was nice to leave it on a cliffhanger because it’s up to the viewer to imagine what would have happened. So I can imagine them ending it like that.”“I wouldn’t be surprised if I didn’t get the call, and I wouldn’t be surprised if I did,” she continued.

SoundCloud is reportedly going up for sale

SoundCloud is reportedly going up for sale, and is predicted to fetch upwards of £1billion.News that the owners of the company – which is one of the world’s largest music streaming services – are preparing to sell comes via a new report from Sky News.According to the update, Raine Group and Temasek Holdings, the Singaporean state investment fund, have begun interviewing investment banks, related to a prospective auction of the brand. As of today (January 8), more than 40million artists are active on the platform, and a total of 320million songs have been released on the service since it launched over 15 years ago. First emerging back in 2007, the service has acted as a home for many artists – allowing them to publish their work online and direct listeners to their respective pages. The reports of the company going to auction follows a string of redundancies made in recent years.Back in August 2022, it was announced that SoundCloud would be making cuts to its workforce, and laying off approximately 20 per cent of its workforce globally. The reasons were attributed to changes in the economic and financial landscape, and followed another mass lay-off of staff seen in 2017, when a near-40 per cent cut was made.“During this difficult time, we are focused on providing the support and resources to those transitioning while reinforcing our commitment to executing our mission to lead what’s next in music,” the company wrote in a statement in 2022.As highlighted in today’s report, when Raine and Temasek invested in 2017, the business was reportedly on the brink of collapse.
