The Walking Dead is changing things around regarding the planned movie about Rick Grimes.

Jennifer Maas TV Business WriterThe “Walking Dead” universe just got bigger.A spinoff series centered around Andrew Lincoln’s Rick Grimes and Danai Gurira’s Michonne Hawthorne is set at AMC+, the two actors revealed in a surprise appearance at the last-ever “The Walking Dead” San Diego Comic-Con panel on Friday. The limited series will consist of six episodes and is expected to premiere next year. Scott Gimple will serve as showrunner, and Lincoln and Gurira are executive producers.The spinoff is going forward in place of the previously announced “Walking Dead” films, which were set to be led by Lincoln.

Focus Features acquired the film earlier this week may have wondered why Murray’s name, who has appeared in nearly all of Anderson’s movies in some form, was conspicuously absent. It was even Murray who first let slip that the film was in fact titled “Asteroid City.” But a source says that Murray tested positive for COVID shortly before “Asteroid City” went into production in September of last year, leading the role to be recast.

Dan Walker bid farewell to BBC Breakfast last month, many have questioned who will be stepping in as his replacement. One of Disneyland’s most iconic rides, Space Mountain, is getting a major overhaul at one of the company’s popular parks. The attraction at Tokyo Disneyland Park will close in 2024 and reopen in 2027 after the renovation. The park’s Tomorrowland will also get an all-new plaza. The total cost of the makeover is expected to be about $436 million.

Britain’s Got Talent judges have come and gone, Amanda Holden has warned Simon Cowell she will never get replaced on the panel.  The actress and presenter, 51, has sat beside Simon, 62, since Britain’s Got Talent began in 2007, initially alongside then TV judge Piers Morgan.  Since then the likes of Kelly Brook, David Hasselhoff and Michael McIntyre have all joined the panel and left again, while Alesha Dixon and David Walliams have been firm fixtures for 10 years.
