This year more than ever, people across the world are appreciating the importance of International Nurses Day. To mark the special occasion, senior members of the royal family shared a special video of their video calls with nurses from around the globe. 

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s son, Archie, turns one on May 6, and Queen Elizabeth II celebrated with a Twitter message from the official Royal Family account. “Happy Birthday to Archie Mountbatten-Windsor who is celebrating his first birthday today,” the message read, along with a balloon emoji.

Following their decision to step down as senior royals, the couple relinquished their royal roles at the end of March, which was part of their deal with Queen Elizabeth II.

Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip’s staff is making a huge sacrifice during the Coronavirus pandemic to keep the royal couple safe. According to a report by The Sun, about 22 staff members are currently quarantining in Windsor Castle with the Queen (94) and the Duke of Edinburgh (98).

However, as the Coronavirus crisis continues to affect the globe, the Queen has decided to not have any gun salutes in her honor for her birthday.

There will be no pomp or circumstance for Queen Elizabeth II's 94th birthday on Tuesday. ET has learned that for the first time in her 68-year reign, there will be no gun salutes in honor of Her Majesty's special day.
