Liam Gallagher responds to “lost” Oasis album made by AI

Liam Gallagher has responded to the “lost” Oasis album that was created using AI and recently went viral. The album was made by UK band Breezer, who imagined what it would sound like if Oasis were to reform and release a new album in 2023. It featured Breezer’s original tracks – written throughout 2021 – with the singer’s vocals replaced by an AI-generated version of  Gallagher’s.Less than a week since debuting online, the album – cleverly named ‘AISIS’ – has already gathered tens of thousands of views, kickstarted an online debate, and had an overwhelmingly positive response from many Oasis fans.Even more surprising, however, is that former Oasis frontman Liam Gallagher enjoyed the project, and has taken to social media to praise the indie band for making something “better” than a lot of other releases. The response was prompted when a fan asked the singer if he had “listened to the AISIS album yet” on Twitter earlier today (April 19).

Oasis might sound like if they were to reform and release a new album in 2023.The eight-track album – cleverly entitled ‘AISIS’ – was developed by indie band Breezer, who created their own tracks, then added an AI version of Liam Gallagher’s voice over the top.It envisions how the band might sound today, if they were to reform and release new music that fitted in with their iconic sound captured throughout the ’90s. All eight tracks are original releases, created by Breezer throughout the 2021 lockdown.Describing the project as an “alternate reality concept album”, the members of Breezer explained how they came up with the idea after becoming fed up with waiting for the Brit-pop icons to regroup.

Jarvis Cocker shares ‘You Can’t Buy The Leadmill’ artwork

Jarvis Cocker has shown further support for Sheffield venue The Leadmill with some Pulp-inspired artwork – see it below.Last month, the iconic venue and club told music fans of the “devastating news that in one year’s time, our Landlord is trying to evict us, forcing us to close” – leading to an outpouring of upset and support from the music world.Over the years the venue has played host to a number of artists who have gone on to have huge success, most notably the Arctic Monkeys – who helped raise over £100,000 for the venue to survive COVID closures last year by raffling off one of Alex Turner‘s guitars.Pulp have played at the venue a total of 18 times, with many of those performances coming in the ’80s during their formative years. Upon first hearing the news about the Leadmill, frontman Cocker commented: “This had better be an April Fool’s joke.”He has now taken to Instagram to bring further awareness to the situation, sharing a piece of artwork that includes the phrase: “You Can’t Buy The Leadmill”. The print is inspired by a teaser campaign that was used to promote Pulp’s 1995 single ‘Common People’.“Back in the mists of time there was a “teaser” campaign ahead of the release of the Common People single that listed all the essential things in life that weren’t for sale,” Cocker captioned the post.
