The Michigan State Capitol was briefly evacuated and temporarily closed on Thursday as police investigated a possible bomb threat, according to officials. The State Capitol Facilities Control Office received a call at 6:40 a.m.

There were chaotic scenes outside the Capitol while lawmakers certify the Electoral College votes on Wednesday after protests erupted and two buildings were briefly evacuated by U.S. Capitol Police because of a purported bomb threat.  A congressional source told Fox News that the Cannon House Office Building and Madison Library of Congress Building were briefly evacuated because of a bomb threat after several suspicious packages were reportedly found in the area.

A suspect was taken into custody Wednesday night at Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport in Alaska after an alleged bomb threat forced the evacuation of one of the terminals, according to a report. The threat came in to airport officials around 9:20 p.m.

A plane at New York City's JFK Airport was evacuated Sunday following a bomb threat, according to the the Port Authority Police Department.  Authorities told Fox News the threat was received from an incoming flight from Moscow, Russia, which landed at the New York airport at about 3:49 p.m. EST with approximately 250 passengers.

Golborne High School in Golborne, near Wigan, at lunchtime yesterday (Monday November 23) and the school was evacuated as a precaution. According to headteacher, Alison Gormally, the school managed to get everyone evacuated within four seconds of activating its emergency procedures policy.
