That’s kind of why my album covers are almost like homemade tarot cards.”Listen to a teaser below. The musician went on: “The image on the front might seem like just a visual moment, but for me it is simply describing the sound of it.

Thao has shared a cover of Björk‘s ‘Human Behaviour’ for Mental Health Awareness Week – watch her rendition below. The singer-songwriter (real name Thao Nguyen) has teamed up with non-profit organisation Sounds Of Saving (SoS) to deliver a new rendition of Björk’s 1993 track, the lead single from the Icelandic singer’s debut studio album, ‘Debut’.“I chose Bjork’s ‘Human Behaviour’ because to me it marks a renewal and a revival of my own interest in music, in my own recommitment to the joy of music,” Thao said of her cover (via Stereogum).“Growing up, most of the access to music I had was only the radio. I didn’t have an in to music that wasn’t easily accessible to me, you know? And so to choose a song that I don’t know that well by an artist that I don’t know that well, but whose energy and whose commitment and devotion to music is so well known, it was a great opportunity to embody the difference that I’m looking for.”You can check out Thao’s version of ‘Human Behaviour’ below:SoS is a 501c3 Music x Mental Health nonprofit organisation.

Björk in The Northman. The actor plays lead character Amleth in the third feature film from director Robert Eggers (The Lighthouse, The Witch), starring alongside Nicole Kidman, Claes Bang, Anya Taylor-Joy, Ethan Hawke and Willem Dafoe. The most unique cast addition is Björk, who plays a seeress, whose last feature film acting credit was in 2005’s Drawing Restraint 9 from director Matthew Barney.Speaking to NME about acting alongside the musician, Skarsgård said: “I felt very lucky. It was crazy.“I don’t think you see it on camera in that scene, but we shot it in that burnt out barn after the big raid. And Björk when it was her shot, behind her I could see it was just this gigantic full moon right behind her head and it felt so perfect for that scene and her character and the way she looked.

Björk says her new album will “probably come out in the summer”

Björk has said she is currently “finishing” her upcoming 10th album, revealing that it will “probably come out in the summer”.Back in October 2021, the Icelandic musician explained that the follow-up to 2017’s ‘Utopia’ was “for people who are making clubs at home in their living room” during the COVID-enforced lockdown.Björk described the record’s sound as being like “a man who was headbanging, then sat down again and had another glass of red wine, and everyone is home by 10 o’clock, done with the dancing and everything”.The artist also revealed that her new tracks were mostly around the 80-90 beats per minute mark because that is the speed she walks at.Speaking in a new interview with LA Weekly this week, Björk explained: “I’m finishing [the new album] now, and it should probably come out in the summer.“It’s always really hard for me to describe the album while I’m still making it. It isn’t until a few months later that I can look in the mirror and pretend there was a logic to it the whole time.”During a separate conversation with The Mercury News, the singer said the record’s release date “depends on the speed of publishing in 2022”.
