Love Island faces calls to be axed as former host Caroline Flack 'becomes third star to commit suicide'
ITV are facing calls to cancel Love Island after its former host Caroline Flack has died by suspected suicide.The 40 year old was found dead at her East London home on Saturday, her family have confirmed in a statement. Caroline's death comes less than two years after the suicide of Love Island contestant Sophie Gradon and 11 months after the suicide of Mike Thalassitis.

Love Island contestants on the upcoming winter series of the show have gone through the “strictest” psych tests yet to “make sure they can cope” with fame. According to reports, show producers didn’t have the final say on this year’s lineup, and instead experts made the decision after hopefuls underwent medical checks.The news comes after concerns about the mental wellbeing of contestants on the show, following the tragic suicides of former contestants Mike Thalassitis and Sophie Gradon.
