Disney has been going back and raiding its animated library for IP to turn into live-action productions. The folks behind the ‘Scott Pilgrim’ franchise have decided to do it the other way, taking the cast from the beloved live-action film and make an animated adaptation of the source material.

While Edgar Wright has dabbled in action filmmaking before, a little with “Hot Fuzz” and ‘Scott Pilgrim,’ and much more with “Baby Driver,” he has yet to really do something that would be described as blockbuster filmmaking.

UPDATED, 5:45 AM: Netflix has dropped the first-look teaser for Scott Pilgrim Takes Off (official title), its upcoming anime series based on the classic graphic novels and 2010 film starring Michael Cera. Cera reunites with many of the film’s cast including Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Kieran Culkin, Anna Kendrick, Aubrey Plaza and more who lend their voices to the series, which will premiere November 17.
