The late-night program, which has relied on celebrity guest such as Leslie Jones and Sarah Silverman in the wake of the departure of Trevor Noah last year, will now give its correspondents a crack at leading the program over the next few weeks. Ronny Chieng, Michael Kosta, Desi Lydic, Dulcé Sloan, Roy Wood Jr., Lewis Black and Jordan Klepper will all get a chance to host the program between the week of April 3 and the week of May 8, Comedy Central announced Friday. Roy Wood Jr. will start the rotation during the week of April 3, followed by Jordan Klepper the week of April 17. Desi Lydic will host the program the week of April 24 ,and Dulce Sloan will anchor the series the week of May 1. Michael Kosta will lead during the week of May 8. Ronny Chieng and Lewis Black have not been assigned weeks as of yet.

Wood’s credits include “The Daily Show with Trevor Noah,” “Sullivan and Son” and “The Neutral Ground,” as well as his upcoming mini-series “The Pendulum Project.” The Emmy-nominated producer is also featured in “Better Call Saul,” “Only Murders in the Building” and “The Last O.G.” Variety included Wood as one of its 10 Comics to Watch in 2016. “AAFCA is excited to have the multi-talented Roy Wood Jr. host the 14th edition of the AAFCA Awards,” AAFCA president and CEO Gil Robertson said in a statement. “Roy is one of the most electrifying comedic voices in our business. He’s funny, insightful and irreverent and we’re looking forward to a fabulous evening of fun and celebration.”

Director Greg Mottola revealed to Uproxx (via IndieWire) that the “Mad Men” Emmy winner gave back 60 percent of his salary to help finance three extra days of filming on the indie project. Mottola also gave up a portion of his own salary to extend the shoot. According to Mottola, the money that Miramax executive Bill Block was able to put up for the film only covered 27 days of shooting. When Mottola and Hamm went out to find extra funding to bring the shoot to 30 days, they were rejected by every financier. “Everyone said, ‘I don’t know that this kind of comedy works in this day and age,'” Mottola said. “They just had a kind of like, ‘Who’s Fletch? I don’t think anyone cares anymore.’

Peter Debruge Chief Film Critic One of the greatest mysteries that ever faced investigative reporter Irwin Maurice Fletcher (“Fletch” to his friends) is why there haven’t been more movies featuring the character. Gregory Mcdonald’s popular Fletch novels, of which there are 11, were practically all dialogue. The author’s breezy style of repartee — which owed more to Hollywood’s screwball comedy tradition than film noir — should have lent itself well to screenplays, but only two ever got made: Back in the ’80s, we got a couple that positioned Chevy Chase as a goofy sleuth with a penchant for disguise, and others (including Jason Lee, Ben Affleck and Chris Tucker) have been trying to revive him ever since.
