Less than a week after Euphoria’s dramatic Season 2 finale, HBO is addressing claims about a toxic and unsafe workplace environment on the set of the Zendaya-led drama.

Euphoria rose to new highs with the dramatic and messy season 2 finale, drawing in 6.6 million viewers across all HBO platforms.

According to HBO, “Euphoria” Season 2 episodes are now averaging 16.3 million viewers, the best performance for any season of an HBO series other than “Game of Thrones” since 2004.

HBO’s Euphoria climbed to new heights on Sunday, despite competition from the evening’s main attraction, Super Bowl LVI. The latest episode brought in a series-high 5.1 million viewers across all platforms, rising 20% from the previous week and surpassing the season average by 45%.

HBO will get a third dose of Euphoria. The Emmy-winning drama series starring Zendaya from creator Sam Levinson has been renewed for Season 3.Euphoria’s renewal comes as its sophomore season continues to deliver ratings records for both HBO and HBO Max.

Bleecker Street has acquired the U.S. rights to “892,” a thriller starring John Boyega and Michael K. Williams that made its premiere in competition at Sundance.

Bleecker Street has acquired U.S. rights to the dramatic thriller 892, starring John Boyega (Star Wars franchise) and the late Michael Kenneth Williams (The Wire), which recently made its world premiere at the Sundance Film Festival in U.S. Dramatic Competition and won its Special Jury Award for Ensemble Cast. The independently-financed distributor is planning a late summer release in theaters nationwide.

Euphoria‘s boasting a different kind of high for HBO this week with the third and latest episode continuing its growing streak.

HBO recently unveiled the first poster for Euphoria season two starring Zendaya. The season premiere drops January 9, 2022. Along with Zendaya, the show stars Hunter Schafer, Sydney Sweeny, Jacob Elordi, Storm Reid, and Colman Domingo.

Byron Bowers (Concrete Cowboy) and Tom Sturridge, (Sweetbitter) in a recasting, have joined Alicia Vikander in HBO’s Irma Vep, a limited series based on Olivier Assayas’ 1996 feature film.

Adria Arjona (Pacific Rim: Uprising), Carrie Brownstein (The Nowwhere Inn), Jerrod Carmichael (On The Count of Three), Fala Chen (Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings) and Devon Ross have been cast opposite Alicia Vikander in Irma Vep, a limited series based on Olivier Assayas’ 1996 feature film.

Lionsgate has set a March 19, 2021 wide-release date for “The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent,” the meta action comedy that stars Nicolas Cage as a version of himself.
