Hunter Ingram SPOILER ALERT: This post contains spoilers from the entire second season of “Outer Range,” now streaming on Prime Video. “It makes all the sense in the world!” Forgive us for laughing, but that is the craziest thing someone could say about Prime Video’s “Outer Range,” a sci-fi western about a bottomless, time-traveling black hole on the Wyoming ranch of Royal Abbott (Josh Brolin). And yet, that’s what Royal’s nemesis Wayne Tillerson (Will Patton) proclaims right before he takes a swan dive into that hole in the Season 2 finale. It’s a legitimately hilarious moment, because — even for those who have been paying attention — “Outer Range” isn’t the easiest to follow.

If time is a river, as the oft-repeated phrase echoes through the second season of Prime Video’s mysterious, existential Western and metaphysical sci-fi series, the “Outer Range,” then the unrelenting flow of time is also an unforgivable force that stops for no man. Weirder and darker than ever, and yet somehow streamlined and more ruggedly focused, thanks to the series’ new veteran showrunner Charles Murray (“Deadwood,” “Hill Street Blues,” and “Sons Of Anarchy”), “Outer Range” continues to grip and mesmerize with its mind-bending, enigmatic blend of family anxieties, crisis-of-faith dilemmas, impending land rivalries, and the burden of keeping secrets.

When the highly-anticipated blockbuster superhero film “Deadpool & Wolverine” slashes its way into theatres this July, fans can expect to see the nostalgic return of Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine and probably a whole ton of cameos, if the rumors and meta trailer jokes are any indication. However, as already reported, one character that viewers may have wanted to see but sadly won’t be in the anticipated blockbuster is Josh Brolin’s Cable, who previously appeared in “Deadpool 2.” Brolin’s absence from the film is already known; he was never reported as part of the film, and there’s no trace of him in any of the recent trailers; he even joked that he had beef with “Deadpool” star Ryan Reynolds.
