The xx’s Oliver Sim has today (April 6) shared a new Jamie-xx produced single – listen to ‘Fruit’ below.The track, which is described as “a joyful celebration of queer identity and self-acceptance penned to his younger self” comes with a video directed by Yann Gonzalez.Sim shared his first debut solo single from the album, ‘Romance With A Memory’ last month (March 10).Speaking about the new track and video, Sim said: “My new song produced by Jamie xx. The xx have announced a new monthly show on Apple Music 1, Interludes Radio.The London trio – comprised of Romy Madley-Croft, Oliver Sim and Jamie xx – will each present their own separate instalment of the series, kicking off with Sim’s edition this Thursday (March 10) at 2pm GMT.For the inaugural “horror-themed” episode, the singer and bassist will be joined by a host of friends and collaborators, including Florence Welch, Elton John, Sampha, John Glacier, director Yann Gonzalez, as well as his bandmates from The xx.Subsequent editions will be hosted by Jamie xx and Madley-Croft, though the exact air dates for these are yet to be confirmed.“We’ll be taking turns to host each episode and get into the things that inspire us individually,” The xx said in a joint statement. “An hour of music, guests and sneak peeks of what we’re all up to on our own and together.”You can tune into Interludes Radio live for free on Apple Music 1, and listen back on-demand with an Apple Music subscription.The xx’s most recent studio album, ‘I See You’, came out back in 2017.

Parklife will make its big summer return to Heaton Park in June 2022 with a huge line-up of international stars.

Tyler, the Creator, 50 Cent and Megan Thee Stallion are among the leading names on the line-up for Parklife 2022.The Heaton Park, Manchester festival returned last year after the coronavirus pandemic forced the cancellation of its 2020 edition.Parklife 2022 will take place from June 11-12 this year, with the festival confirming its full line-up this morning (January 25).As well as Tyler, 50 Cent and Megan, the likes of Lewis Capaldi, Bicep, Chase & Status, Loyle Carner, Jamie xx, Arlo Parks, Headie One, Central Cee, Fred Again.., ArrDee, Caroline Polachek, Tom Misch and PinkPantheress will also perform.Bad Boy Chiller Crew, India Jordan, Four Tet, Jessie Ware, Enny, Nina Kraviz, Mahalia, Carl Cox and Tems are also on the packed bill for Parklife 2022.
