Thania Garcia During a brief headlining-making (like most everything he’s up to these days) stop in London for Fashion Week, Kanye West made an appearance at an afterparty where he previewed some new songs he and James Blake had recorded. In videos captured by partygoers, West appeared in good spirits as he took over the DJ booth and adjusted the equalizers on the turntables while a few seconds of a song began to play. He cut the track shortly after those seconds but played a song for a bit longer after that (difficult to decipher whether it was the same one or different). Fans quickly drew comparisons that the longer track previewed sounded like the 2016 Blake track “Always.”

Naman Ramachandran Jason Howden, the writer and director behind 2015 cult horror hit “Deathgasm,” is returning for “Deathgasm 2.” The sequel, which is produced by Raven Banner Entertainment, is set to start shooting in New Zealand next year. Howden, who also wrote and directed “Guns Akimbo” starring Daniel Radcliffe and Samara Weaving, will write and direct. He has also already been in talks with the original cast – Milo Cawthorne, James Blake and Kimberley Crossman – about returning. “Deathgasm,” which debuted at SXSW and went onto win a slew of horror awards including the Palm D’Gore at Knoxville Horror Film Festival, tells the story of two high-school metal-heads, Brodie (played by Cawthorne) and Zakk (Blake), who form a band called Deathgasm. Travis Scott made his first major public appearance since the Astroworld tragedy at the Billboard Music Awards 2022 tonight (May 15).A crowd crush at the Houston festival, which is run by the rapper, left 10 people dead last October.Scott has only given one performance since the tragedy, appearing at the Miami nightclub E11even earlier this month (May 8). The rapper was on-stage for approximately 45 minutes, performing several of his best-known songs such as ‘Goosebumps’ and ‘Sicko Mode’.

Earlier this year he completed work on his first full album production for another artist, Soccer Mommy’s upcoming album “Sometimes, Forever.” His production credits over the years also include David Byrne, Moses Sumney, Anohni and Charli XCX as well as collaborations with Iggy Pop, Rosalía, James Blake and Elizabeth Fraser.His original film scores include Josh and Benny Safdie’s “Uncut Gems” and “Good Time,” for which he received the Best Soundtrack Award at the 2017 Cannes Film Festival.

It finds her delivering on all the promise and innovation that those releases suggested and plenty more as well, while still keeping the sound rooted in her stunning voice (and singing entirely in Spanish).

James Blake has shared a new one-hour composition, ‘Wind Down’ – you can hear the new track below.The new “soundscape” has been created by Blake in collaboration with the adaptive sound wellness app Endel – who have previously collaborated with Grimes – with the aim of helping their users “move gently towards a good night’s rest”.‘Wind Down’, which is available on Endel’s range of apps, joins the company’s growing range of sleep and relaxation experiences, which combine Endel’s “signature elegant visuals and sounds with evidence-based insights on what prepares us for a better night’s rest”.“In approximately two hours, Wind Down traces an arc from wakefulness to sleep based on scientific input from SleepScore Labs, which partnered with Endel on this project,” a press release adds.“Wind Down lets me explore the more ambient side of my music and create a project to support people in a new way,” Blake said in a statement about ‘Wind Down’, which you can hear above.“It’s mesmerising to hear how my music blends with the science-based sounds of Endel’s AI and I think we’ve invented something not just beautiful or even meaningful, but truly practical.” Blake, who recently collaborated with Monica Martin for a new rendition of the latter’s track ‘Go Easy, Kid’, will tour in the UK and Europe in April and May.
