Naman Ramachandran A new adaptation of Charles Dickens’ “A Christmas Carol,” with an all-star voice cast including Carey Mulligan, Martin Freeman, Daniel Kaluuya, Simon Russell Beale and Andy Serkis, is set for a Nov. 20 U.K.
Eligible productions from the 2019-2020 season include A Christmas Carol, The Great Society, The Height of the Storm, The Inheritance, Linda Vista, Sea Wall/A Life, Slave Play, The Sound Inside, Jagged Little Pill, The Lightning Thief: The Percy Jackson Musical, Moulin Rouge! The Musical, Tina: The Tina Turner Musical, Betrayal, Frankie and Johnny in the Claire de Lune, The Rose Tattoo, and West Side Story.

David Heyman’s Heyday Films, the company behind this year’s hot Oscar contenders “Once Upon a Time in Hollywood” and “Marriage Story,” is set to produce “Shackleton,” the long-gestating biopic of legendary polar explorer Sir Ernest Shackleton, with Tom Hardy on board to play the title role. Hardy will also produce the pic alongside Dean Baker through their banner Hardy Son & Baker (“Taboo & Christmas Carol”) which originated the project.

This might be good, or it might be terrible! Either way, it's probably worth watching. It premieres Dec. 19, FX announced Wednesday.
Obviously, watching this is a must, but like...who even has cable, let alone FX? Disney is already taking all my money so I can watch in action, what more does the world want from me! Fortunately for those of us who are cheap (Scrooge would truly be proud), there are ways to ~hack the system~ and get your Christmas Carol fix for free. Ish.
