Soap star Melissa Reeves has been hit with backlash from fans for liking anti-Black Lives Matter posts online. The "Days of Our Lives" actress, 53, found herself at the center of a social media controversy after fans learned she liked Instagram posts denouncing Black Lives Matter made by conservative commentator Candace Owens.

Linsey Godfrey, 31, is not standing up for Days of Our Lives co-star Melissa Reeves, 53, after she liked some of conservative commentator Candace Owens‘ tweets that criticized the Black Lives Matter movement and “the Left.” After one tweet called out the actress’ actions, one follower stuck up for her with a response that read, “We all have our own opinions and views! That’s what make the USA the land of the free and home of the brave!,” but Linsey made it clear she didn’t agree.

In a Facebook Live video, titled “Confession: I DO NOT support George Floyd and I refuse to see him as a martyr”, the outspoken Donald Trump supporter declared she doesn’t support the depiction of George as a “martyr”.
