‘Expendables 4’ Trailer: Megan Fox Beats Up Jason Statham, and 50 Cent Joins the Team in Action Sequel

McKinley Franklin editor After nearly nine years, Sylvester Stallone’s Barney Ross is ready to lead the Expendables once again. The first official trailer for the fourth installment of “The Expendables” franchise has been released after a nine-year hiatus for the film series. Titled “Expend4bles,” the movie is set to release on Sept. 22.  Franchise vets Jason Statham, Dolph Lundgren and Randy Couture will all reprise their long-term roles alongside Stallone in the upcoming film. New additions to the cast include Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson, Megan Fox, Tony Jaa, Jacob Scipio, Levy Tran, Eddie Hall, Iko Uwais and Andy Garcia.

‘100 Years of Warner Bros.’ Doc Featuring George Clooney, Oprah Winfrey and Tim Burton Gets Max Premiere Date

McKinley Franklin editor Max has revealed the rollout plans for its four original documentary specials narrated by Morgan Freeman in honor of Warner Bros.’ 100th anniversary.  The first two specials will make their debut at Cannes on May 24 as 2023 Official Cannes Classics Selections, followed by a May 25 debut on Max. The remaining two specials will be available to stream on Max on June 1.  The “100 Years of Warner Bros.” docuseries pays homage to the output of Warner Bros. over the past century. Featuring interviews with directors, actors, executives, journalists and historians, the specials highlight everything from the studios’ early beginnings to its presence in the modern day.

Michaela Zee editor From riding boats in Venice to landing in Tuscany in a helicopter, “Book Club: The Next Chapter” star Jane Fonda had quite the adventure in Italy with Diane Keaton, Mary Steenburgen and Candice Bergen.  Her favorite memory there? “When we went to see the Sistine Chapel at night, and there was nobody else there,” Fonda told Variety at the New York premiere on Monday night. “And we had the whole ceiling explained to us by a great guide. That was a real treat.”  Although the sequel was filmed nearly five years after the original, Fonda never lost contact with her “Book Club” co-stars.

Naman Ramachandran Disney’s “Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 3” ruled the U.K. and Ireland box office with a £12 million ($15.2 million) opening, according to numbers released by Comscore. The latest Marvel Studios release debuted at Number 1 with an 72% market share, according to Disney, and had the biggest three-day opening weekend of 2023. In its fifth weekend, Universal’s “The Super Mario Bros. Movie” collected £1.3 million in second place for a total of £49 million. In third position, in its third weekend, Studiocanal’s “Evil Dead Rise” earned £493,732 for a total of £4.4 million.

Brian Steinberg Senior TV Editor Chris Wallace’s interview program, “Who’s Talking to Chris Wallace,” will move to Friday nights from Sundays while continuing to stream on HBO Max, a change as the series prepares for its third cycle of conversations between the news veteran and people of note “Our viewers have come to expect real, authentic conversations with a rich variety of guests,” said Wallace, in a statement. “We’ve really hit our stride this season and I’m excited to continue to bring these timely conversations to both HBO Max and CNN.” Guests scheduled for the third season include Carol Burnett, Bill Hader, Jay Leno, Andy Garcia, Miranda Lambert, with more to be announced in the weeks ahead. Wallace expects to book interviews with politicians and presidential hopefuls as the nation moves full-bore into the 2024 election cycle. The series will be available on the new enhanced streaming service, Max, when it launches in the U.S. on Tuesday, May 23.
