Mike Tindall — a.k.a. husband of Princess Anne’s daughter, Zara Tindall — was among those invited to attend the coronation of King Charles III at Westminster Abbey.

Mike Tindall, Princess Anne's son-in-law, is speaking out about his seat at King Charles' coronation that took place on May 6. Mike, who is married to Charles' niece Zara Tindall, shared a recap on the historic ceremony on his "The Good, The Bad and The Rugby" podcast.  "You're in the hottest spot, but it was all happening just around the corner of wall that you can’t see!" Tindall said, adding a laugh. "You do have a front-row seat."  Mike did not actually sit in the front-row.

King Charles’ Coronation has been marked by the release of two more official portraits. The first image shows the King with the two next in line to the throne – son Prince William and grandson Prince George. The second is of King Charles and Queen Consort Camilla with their Pages of Honour and Ladies in Attendance on the historic Coronation day.

The new set of photographs, released on Monday, gave an insight into the new monarch’s idea of a slimmed-down monarchy - with one image of the Royal Family together showing him flanked by the Princess Royal on one side and his wife Queen Consort Camilla on the other. Taken in Buckingham Palace's Throne Room, the picture is a portrait of The Firm as it now stands in 2023 - with Prince Harry notable by his absence.

The Great British Bake Off judge Dame Prue Leith has given her stamp of approval to King Charles’ Coronation quiche - saying it was “absolutely delicious”. The chef and TV presenter became one of the first people to try the official coronation pastry at a special Big Lunch at Westminster Abbey on Tuesday, attended by faith leaders from across the country. Hosted by the Dean of Westminster, the outdoor event was organised to inspire people to organise their own celebratory events, showing how food can bring together people of all faiths and backgrounds.Tens of thousands of street parties are expected to be held during the coronation weekend, with people encouraged to come together across the country for the Coronation Big Lunch on Sunday May 7.

The official souvenir programme for the Coronation of King Charles features a happy family photo that sees the King with his son Prince Harry and daughter-in-law Meghan Markle - this is despite the fact that Meghan has declined the invitation to the historic event. Among the photos printed in the programme, which went on sale on Monday 17 April is one of the royal family celebrating Charles, then the Prince Of Wales's 70th birthday back in 2018.The photo saw the now-King sat with his wife Camilla, and surrounded by his sons, Prince William and Prince Harry, and his daughter-in-laws Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle.
