The Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh have seen their profile continue to rise ever since they were officially included in the late Queen's line-up of senior royals.The couple are both advocates for many charities, with Sophie in particular being a key voice in the fields of gender equality, violence against women and avoidable blindness. While they have always been hard working members of The Firm, this promotion came after Prince Andrew stepped back from his role and after Prince Harry and Meghan relocated to the US.This adjustment, royal expert Jennie Bond feels, is one that they have taken in their stride.

Lady Louise Windsor has taken after her late grandfather, Prince Philip, with her love of carriage driving and is frequently seen riding in Windsor Great Park, taking part in competitions or appearing in shows, such as the recently held Royal Windsor Horse Show.The sport was taken up by the late Duke of Edinburgh after he retired from polo and sees one person drive a carriage that is hitched to one, two, or four horses. Lady Louise's parents are frequently seen cheering their daughter on at events and have spoken about her being a "natural." Her mother Sophie, 58, braved the rain as she presented rosettes to competitors in the show's fancy dress competition.

The Duke of Edinburgh sported a virtual reality (VR) headset as he tried out a riding simulator at the Royal Windsor Horse Show. A smiling Edward was filmed sitting astride the model horse as he clutched its reins and moved his head about to take in the simulation, at the event in the grounds of Windsor Castle, Berkshire, on Thursday 11 May. Edward, 59, shared a joke with two people who helped him put the headset on.

Prince Edward and his wife Sophie enjoyed a heartwarming day at the Guide Dogs for the Blind Association Training Centre on Monday. Part of the Big Help Out volunteering scheme, which is organised by The Together Coalition, The Scouts, various faith groups and the Royal Voluntary Service, the royal visit in Reading saw the recently anointed Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh taking part in a puppy class.

Princess Eugenie and Princess Beatrice made a surprise appearance at the Coronation Big Lunch on Sunday, as they joined revellers celebrating the Coronation of King Charles III and Queen Camilla. Stars arrived at Westminster Abbey early this morning to watch the Coronation of King Charles. Amongst the famous attendees – which includes Lionel Richie and Emma Thompson – is pop singer Katy Perry, who arrived alongside British Vogue Editor Edward Enninful.The 38 year old paid homage to the late British fashion designer Vivienne Westwood, who sadly passed away in December 2022, with her outfit.
