Brunch - subjectively the best invention of the 21st century.
A worthy excuse to eat breakfast foods well into the afternoon, and spend quality time with loved ones at the same time.
But it can be a little tricky to enjoy the millennial-proclaimed meal-of-champions if you're worried about whether or not the ingredients are halal.
If you've ever wanted to jump on the brunch hype but have been put off because the menu doesn't safely meet your dietary requirements, then Zouk is here to save the day (or at least the mid-morning to afternoon).
This month, Zouk's halal brunch returns for the first time since 2019 with an array of exciting new dishes such as Manchester's favourite eggs benedict, but with a Bollywood twist.
Brunch serving times will vary slightly between weekdays and weekends, and the halal menu will be available every day except Monday.
From Tuesday to Saturday brunch will be served from 8am to 3pm, and on Sundays, the restaurant will open for brunch at 9am but it will only offer brunch dishes until noon because from midday, the popular restaurant gets busy with its halal Sunday roast.
Check out some menu highlights below and get an idea of what's in store:
Eggs Royal with Smoked Salmon - Poached eggs on a toasted muffin with smoked salmon, sautéed spinach, cheese and hollandaise.
Eggs Benedict with Turkey Rashers - Poached eggs on a toasted muffin with turkey rashers, cheese and hollandaise.
French Omelet - Traditional omelet with turkey rashers, mushrooms, tomato, peppers and cheese on toasted sourdough with a mesclun side salad.
Halal Full English Breakfast - Scrambled, plain omelet or fried eggs served with chicken sausage, turkey rashers, hash browns, cheese gratin tomatoes, mushrooms, baked beans
