The trial of Manchester City footballer Benjamin Mendy has been adjourned until at least Tuesday next week after one of the jurors tested positive for Covid.

A woman who says she was 'frightened' after waking up to find Benjamin Mendy having sex with her denies she was having a 'great time' hours after the alleged rape. The Manchester City defender, 28, is currently standing trial at Chester Crown Court.
He denies eight counts of rape against five women, one count of attempted rape, and one count of sexual assault. The offences are alleged to have taken place on five different occasions at his Cheshire home between October 2018 and August last year, relating to seven women in total.
On Thursday, jurors heard from Woman Seven, who is not named for legal reasons. She alleges she was raped by Mr Mendy in July last year.

She also claims she was raped by Mr Mendy's co-defendant Louis Saha Matturie, 41, on the same day. And, Woman Seven claims Mr Matturie raped and sexually assaulted her in August last year. Mr Matturie denies all charges he is accused of. He has pleaded not guilty to eight counts of rape and four counts of sexual assault, relating to eight women.
The court has heard that Woman Seven had been invited to a pool party at Mr Mendy's home in Prestbury by her friend, Woman Six, who also alleges she was raped by Mr Mendy.
The two women, Mr Mendy and Mr Matturie and others then went to a Manchester nightclub where Woman Seven said she danced, drank spirits and drank champagne from the bottle. Woman Seven said it was the first time she'd met Mr Mendy.
