One of the latest increases to hit people's wallets is the announced rise in the cost of the incredibly popular online streaming service, Netflix.
Whether you want to stream classic shows like Friends and Seinfeld, or you're looking to find the latest releases like Pieces of Her (available on the platform since March 4, starring Toni Collette), access to streaming services like Netflix has become a staple way of entertaining the family.

Netflix gives detailed breakdowns of the price rise on their website's "plans and pricings" section.
The Basic and Standard plans will see an increase of £1, with the Premium plan increasing by £2.
The new Netflix charges are as follows:
All plans allow you to use Netflix to watch unlimited TV shows, movies and play mobile games on your laptop, TV, phone, or tablet, as well as streaming-enabled TV.
The new price rise comes into effect straight away for anyone looking to join the streaming service. For existing members, the change will be more ongoing.
Netflix's site currently states, "These prices apply to new members and will gradually take effect for all current members. Current members will receive an email notification 30 days before their price changes, unless they change their plan."
