A boyfriend-from-hell blinded his girlfriend by poking her in the eye, stood on her neck and left a bite mark on her shoulder during a brutal attack. Lukeus Walker, 19, has been locked up after he admitted subjecting Abbey McRae to a campaign of domestic abuse and violence last year.
Dundee Sheriff Court was told that Walker was already subject to several bail orders when he started abusing Miss McRae, 19, on Valentine's Day. Fiscal depute Larissa Milligan said the victim could be heard screaming "let go, don't touch me" during a pre-planned 'romantic' night out together.
When police turned up at his Dundee home, Walker refused to let them in and the door was forced open over concerns for his partner's safety. "On 11 March, she remained with him overnight and they began to consume alcohol together.
"At 2.30 am the accused engaged in an argument over a mobile phone. She left and entered the landing. She was followed by the accused into the stairwell and he grabbed her shoulder and began biting her," Ms Milligan said.
"She was crying out and had her head between her legs. He kicked her to the eye. He then poked her in the eye. While she was on her back he stood on her chest and neck. When police attended they could see her eye was swollen.
"She stated she could not see out of her right eye. She showed them a bite mark on her shoulder and reddening to her neck."
The court was told that in a later incident, on 3 July, Walker turned up masked and armed with a foot-long steak knife at a person's home in a row over a jacket.
