A draw felt like defeat for Threave Rovers boss Vinnie Parker on Saturday.
The Castle Douglas side welcomed Ardeer Thistle to Meadow Park and after a quiet first half there was plenty of second-half drama.
Threave hit the opener through Dylan Cairnie when, with 20 minutes left, he sneaked in at the back post to connect with Connor Potts’ shot.
However, with 86 minutes on the clock, Ardeer equalised and two minutes later they scored again as the points appeared to be heading up the road.
But four minutes into injury time Ross Thomson found substitute Tom Coles who scored past the on-rushing keeper to grab a point for the home side.
Boss Vinnie Parker said: “It almost felt like a bitter defeat because we controlled so much of the game.
“For 86 minutes we were in full control and I don’t think they got into the final third once at that point.
“Then we sat off them and switched off and the long ball kills us and then a moment of madness a few minutes later gave them a poor second goal. Ardeer hit the post after so it could have easily been a defeat.
“But we showed some character and managed to salvage a draw but it should have been a three-pointer. It’s disappointing but we’re still unbeaten and we move on to Saturday now.”
Threave travel to Shettleston to play third place Glasgow United.
Parker added: “It’ll be a tough place to go. It’ll be an intimidating environment but we’re used to that now.
“We’re going to need to get three points after dropping two on Saturday. We’re going up there trying to look for a win.”

Todd Gilchrist editor In the 20 years since “Ghetto Pop Life,” the acclaimed debut album from producer-rapper team Danger Mouse & Jemini, much has happened — to them and to hip-hop, much less to the world. Though actor Willie Garson died in real life in September 2021 after a private battle with pancreatic cancer, his beloved character, Stanford Blatch, is alive and well on. Garson filmed several episodes of the Max reboot's first season before his unexpected death, and at the time, the show explained his exit with the character leaving to follow one of his influencer clients to Japan and asking his husband, Anthony Marentino (Mario Cantone), for a divorce.Since then, there have been several references to Stanford — in the season 2 premiere episode, Carrie wears a kimono that she says he sent her — but on Thursday's episode, Stanny's storyline seemed to have a clear end note. Outside of the central relationships and drama going on within Thursday's episode, Carrie Bradshaw (Sarah Jessica Parker) asks Anthony over to her apartment, telling him that Stanford wanted her to speak with him.
